Applications
The application period for 2017 is now closed. 2018 applications should be posted in early 2018.

The Turnaround and Transaction Awards are chosen based on a rigorous peer-review process whereby each Awards Committee member reads and rates each entry. The scoring is blind, and similar to the Olympics, are averaged across the board to come up with an aggregated score. Every year, TMA receives a large number of applications for these awards, and a group of senior leaders is tasked with the herculean effort of judging. Entries are judged on individual merit; not all award categories will derive a winner in a given year. As judges review all components of the entry, they look for well-defined, measurable outcomes.

Individual Awards

Outstanding Individual Contribution Award

In an industry where time is never plentiful, it takes a dedicated individual to complement professional pursuits with volunteerism. Whether assisting with a pro bono case or serving in a TMA leadership position, this individual raises the awareness and stature of the corporate restructuring industry. Winners of this award are TMA members with a long history of industry experience who have made significant contributions to TMA over many years. This award honors the dedication of those outstanding individuals who give back to their profession.

The application period for 2017 is now closed.

Emerging Leader Award

Emerging leaders bring a vibrancy and energy to volunteer organizations, from fresh ideas to cutting edge technology suggestions. Without these innovative perspectives, an association would flounder. The winner in this category can be an active NextGen volunteer or a professional new to the turnaround and restructuring field. This award honors the dedication of one such individual.

The application period for 2017 is now closed.

New for 2017: Chapter Impact Award

Chapters and their leadership are the foundation of TMA. The winner in the chapter impact category can be someone who founded a TMA chapter, spearheaded a successful chapter program or event, or ran a membership campaign that strengthened the chapter. This award honors the dedication of a TMA member who has shown outstanding leadership and service at the chapter level.
