Northstar: A Lesson in Remodeling, Restructuring & Refinancing Thursday, September 21 (4:00 - 6:30pm) @ Minneapolis Club
Christ’s Household of Faith is a community of 500 members that live in St. Paul and does business as Northstar. The award winning panel will discuss the impact the Great Recession had on the community and difficulties it experienced when a global debt buyer purchased the community’s loans and commenced foreclosure proceedings on the members’ homes.
Our panel of experts will discuss Christ’s Household of Faith’s painstaking decision to file a Chapter 11 bankruptcy to stay the foreclosures. They will also discuss the successful conclusion of that case through the eventual agreement of the global debt firm and partnership of Venture Bank, which preserved the community and all the homes of its members.
