Scott Stuart began losing his fear of failure at an unlikely time: in the middle of a streak of courtroom wins as a young lawyer in 1989 at the Finkel Goldstein law firm in New York.

An older attorney who noticed his success pulled him aside and told him not to keep count, warning that there will be times when cases don’t work out in his favor.

Cohen was part of a 16-person group that called itself “Team Hold the Plane,” whose members raised more than $1 million for 11 organizations that included the ALS Association, Stand Up to Cancer, the Multiple Sclerosis Foundation, Boys & Girls Clubs of America, and The Michael J.
