Happy Saturday and welcome to CEO Speaks for Saturday, November 11, 2023.
This is a special week in TMA Nation. It is a week where each year TMA Global leaders join with TMA Europe leadership and our Europe chapter presidents for what is now our 4th Annual Paris Summit.
The Paris Summit is an opportunity each year, for our TMA Representation Committee to meet in person with our 16 Europe Chapter Presidents, for a day of thought leadership and an exchange of ideas aimed at lighting the way forward in member value and connectivity.
It is also an opportunity to celebrate the leaders who assure that TMA remains vital and vibrant and to welcome the new leaders who will serve and aide in the advancement of the next chapter of our ever evolving and always emerging TMA story.
I am particularly grateful for the leadership of two empowering women who have meant so much to TMA Europe, the growth of our Network of Women in Europe and throughout the world, and for setting an example of leadership excellence that is revered throughout all of TMA Nation.
Thank you to TMA Global Chair Janey Mitnick, who has joined me for this year’s summit and who has been a part of this defining TMA experience since its inception in 2019. Janey joined me and other TMA Global leaders for the first Paris Summit when she served as TMA Global VP of Chapter Relations.
And Eva Ringelspacher, who is completing a two year stint as TMA Europe President, having served as a TMA Deutschland Board member, TMA NOW leader and having advanced NOW in Germany, Austria, and in her role as president of TMA Europe, will now move into TMA Executive Global leadership, assuming the role of VP of International Relations, succeeding Vlad Nastase who serves on the TMA Europe Board, TMA Global Executive Board and EACTP Board.
As we brought the world a little bit closer together through this Summit, we welcomed TMA 2024 Global President Allen Wilen to his first Paris Summit, and look forward to the leadership of newly elected TMA Europe President Tyrone Courtman, who assumes that role in January.
It was an inspiring day indeed as the TMA Europe Representation Committee and Europe Chapter presidents, along with Global leadership who joined, looked back on a defining year, highlighted by the first Annual TMA Global International Symposium which together with the TMA Europe Annual Conference, held in Hamburg Germany in June, drew over 250 attendees from all over the world, in a ground breaking and defining moment for TMA.
That conference put the power of TMA connectivity front and center and through the leadership of TMA Europe, TMA Germany, and TMA Global, set the stage for a new level of programming excellence and member engagement never experienced before.
In 2024, TMA Global and TMA Europe will again join together for the 2nd Annual TMA Global International Symposium and TMA Europe Annual Conference, which next June will be held in London, UK, with the expectation of even greater participation than we saw in the groundbreaking effort we experienced last summer.
I am inspired, grateful and always awestruck by the inspiration and creativity of our motivated leaders, who, in selflessly giving of their time, show how TMA Lights the Way, always in defining ways. Much gratitude to the TMA Europe Representation Committee members whom I had the privilege of spending time with this week: Eva Ringelspacher, Tyrone Courtman, Rashmi Dube, Vlad Nastase, Jay Krasoff, Christian Schmitt, Carlos Mack, Anna Nolan and Janina Ruster. You make us better together and stand for what it means to be TMA Proud.
And to our Europe Chapter Presidents who participated in this year’s Paris Summit, we are grateful for your support of TMA and how you engage your members as you do.
A hearty welcome to TMA Slovakia, represented by Vilma Mysicka, who as our newest Europe chapter joined the Summit for the first time. And thank you to chapter leaders from TMA France, Italy, Romania, Serbia, Switzerland, Slovakia, and UK for your participation.
Following a day full of discussion, sharing and thought leadership that will set the stage for 2024, TMA France, in grand fashion hosted a cocktail reception, that showed the very best of who we are at TMA. Wonderful to have experienced a chapter that in a short three years is now 150 members string, with a 90% member retention rate and with a where women represent nearly 30% of the chapter. Kudos to John Lloyd and the TMA France leadership for constantly raising the bar and being excellent and defining in so many ways.
Next on the 2024 TMA European tour, I am off to the UK for their Annual Conference and then to Frankfurt for the TMA Deutschland Annual Conference, both experiences that stand out for creative and practical programming and stand out networking too.
I hope like me you feel the energy of TMA worldwide. It is powerful, bold and something to behold. Wherever you are in TMA nation I hope you have the opportunity to experience it too.
As always, thanks for taking the time to listen today. As TMA Lights The Way, your input is critical, your contributions paramount, and your engagement the foundation that will create a better TMA for all of our members.
Until next time, I’m Scott Stuart. Be safe, resilient, and TMA Proud.
