Happy Saturday and welcome to CEO Speaks, for Saturday, June 11th, 2022, today coming to you from the TMA Europe Annual Conference in Madrid, Spain.
After a three-year hiatus, the TMA Europe Annual Conference returned this week live in Madrid Spain with participants from all throughout Europe and around the world.
TMA Global was proud to be there in force with Global President Janey Mitnick, Global Chair Matthew English, Global Immediate Past Chair Derek Meek, Global VP of International Relations Vlad Nastase, and Global VP of Education Scott Gautier supporting this effort and interfacing with our leaders and members from all throughout Europe.
The week kicked off with governance sessions that had an eye on our strategy for the future and included both a TMA Europe Representation Committee meeting and then a gathering of the EACTP Board and European Chapter presidents.
Many thanks to TMA Europe President David Bryan and President elect Eva Ringlespacher for leading an important exchange of ideas, frank discussions, and how best to continue the positive trajectory of connectivity our members are experiencing all throughout Europe and the world.
With representation from Germany, UK, Serbia, France, Spain, Romania, Switzerland, Turkey as well as TMA NextGen and NOW, in a year with great focus on strategic planning, the interface with these members and leaders is critical as we support the future of our growing international community.
Following these important governance sessions, host chapter TMA Spain warmly welcomed conference attendees to a vibrant display of camaraderie, at an opening reception and dinner that brought conference participants together, some for the first time in several years, for a festive reunion that encapsulated the recover, reconstruct and reimagine theme of this year’s conference.
The evening ended with a celebration of TMA luminary Alan Tilley, for his lifetime achievements in support of TMA Europe, and EACTP, both his passion, vision, and something he very much was part of building from their beginnings. How rewarding it was to have spoken to Alan’s achievements and to share in a moment of great jubilation for the man who has done so much to secure a great future for TMA. Congratulations Alan.
The conference day itself was likewise alive with eclectic starting with a keynote session on the European economic and Geopolitical Outlook, followed by breakout sessions that ranged from a NextGen rainmaking and leadership style panel to programs that explored the unlocking of cryptocurrency in restructuring, a Network of Women program on reimagining aerospace, to TMA Connect Roundtables and of course many opportunities to network, connect and reimagine our future.
A shout out to Conferences and Sponsorship Committee co-chairs Tyrone Courtman and Catalin Nichifor, and conference committee members Alessandro Lego, Arnaud Pedron, Christian Schmitt, Frank Grell, Gregoire Bouille, CTP, and Jay Krasoff for a tremendous effort that resulted in a conference experience full of imagination, real, relevant and timely information and the opportunity to engage and connect in ways that showcase the best of who we are at TMA.
It is truly special to experience the internationalism of our organization. The breadth of knowledge from all over the world, the diversity of our membership and the many disciplines that are represented, with perspectives and insights only available through TMA.
This week, TMA Europe highlighted for the world to see, how far and wide the reach of the TMA brand goes, and that the value of membership in TMA is an opportunity to experience the world of today and be part of the community of tomorrow.
As we journey into the world of TMA Tomorrow, I hope like me you take great pride in the depth of opportunities our great organization offers everywhere you look in the world.
What was experienced in Europe this week is just one more way of showing how we are better together and TMA proud.
As always, thanks for taking the time to listen today. In this year of Innovation through Disruption, your input is critical, your contributions paramount, and your engagement the foundation that will create a better TMA for all of our members.
Until next time, I’m Scott Stuart. Be safe, resilient, and TMA Proud.
