Announces 2020 Officers and Board
CHICAGO, Jan. 21, 2020 – The Chicago/Midwest Chapter of the Turnaround Management Association (TMA Chicago/Midwest) named Angela Allen, Restructuring Partner at Jenner & Block LLP, President for 2020, and named Brian Stewart, Partner at the Keystone Group, as President-Elect.
As a Partner in the Restructuring and Bankruptcy Practice at Jenner & Block, Allen focuses her practice on complex bankruptcy litigation and corporate restructuring and regularly counsels corporate clients in financially distressed situations and insolvency planning matters, assisting her clients in protecting their rights throughout the process. Allen is recognized for her leadership in the turnaround industry and received the TMA Global Emerging Leader Award in 2015.
Brian Stewart is a Partner at The Keystone Group and focuses on profitability and cash flow improvement, business strategy, restructuring, interim roles (CEO, CFO, CRO) and M&A integration. Stewart is a CPA and a TMA Certified Turnaround Professional (CTP).
Continuing in their roles as officers are Michael Brandess, Sugar Felsenthal Grais & Helsinger LLP, vice president, education, Kathleen Parker, HYPERAMS, LLC, vice president, programs, Larry Fox, CTP, Huron, treasurer, and Robert Meyers, Republic Business Credit LLC, immediate past president. New officers elected to serve one-year terms are Jack O'Connor, Sugar Felsenthal Grais & Helsinger LLP, vice president communications, and Gene Arenson, HYPERAMS LLC, secretary.
Matt Beresh, Mackinac Partners LLC, Amy Ayres, Wintrust Financial Corporation, and Neema Varghese, NV Consulting Services LLC were elected as new directors for two-year terms. Continuing directors are Gene Arenson, Allen Pratt, CTP, Virtas Partners, Gordy Gouveia, Fox Rothschild LLP, Matt Ray, CTP, Portage Point Partners, and Bill Farrar, Mesa Verde Financial Advisors, Eric Dorner, Republic Business Credit LLC, Tina Hughes, CTP, High Ridge Partners Inc, David Levy, NRC Realty & Capital Advisors, and Carl Lane, CTP, Willow Tree Consulting Group, LLC.
