Effective Use of Experts in Litigation and Arbitration: Part 1
TMA Rocky Mountain is wrapping up 2017 with a special, two-part educational series focused on the use of experts in litigation and arbitration. This first session, moderated by Lara Swensen of Parson Behle & Latimer, will focus on the identification and use of experts up through the preparation of the report and deposition testimony.
Lawsuits are often won or lost on the basis of expert witness testimony, but knowing when and how to use experts can be an art. Join Lara and a panel as they discuss which cases merit an expert, as well as how to choose the right expert for your case, establish their credibility, prepare them for depositions, and position them to survive evidentiary challenges. The panel will provide perspectives from litigators and experts regarding the common pitfalls, and tips for successful use of experts in federal and state court.
Applications for Approval of 1 hour of CLE and CPE will be submitted.
