An Evening with Retired Chief Judge Rhodes and Chief Judge Shefferly
Most large companies file chapter 11 cases in Delaware or Southern New York even though they have no significant connections or creditors in those districts. The Bankruptcy Venue Reform Act will require that chapter 11 cases be filed in the district of the debtor’s principal place of business. Please join us for strolling appetizers, drinks, and an engaging discussion of this legislation with Retired Chief Judge Steven Rhodes, a recognized national expert on the topic of bankruptcy venue, and current Chief Judge Phillip Shefferly, who will moderate the discussion.
