Join your fellow TMA NYC members for a virtual scavenger hunt through the streets of NYC! Attendees will break up into teams and work together to solve witty and intelligent multi-layered clues that will deliver players to unexpected and unique destinations. Gameplay will last approximately 1 hour (with team captains reporting in 30 minutes early for a pre-game briefing) followed by closing ceremonies and awards – bragging rights and prizes! As our last programming event for the year, this is great way to get to know your fellow TMA members and work collaboratively in a fun setting. Don’t forget to review the additional logistics below. About Game the City:
Game the City (renamed to Zoom the City during the Covid-19 Pandemic) is a sophisticated alternative to typical trivia-based seek and find games. The game is devised to generate the kinds of questions that force players to identify and use an unlimited number of lifelines for the purpose of creating camaraderie among the players. The teams will attempt to solve witty and intelligent multi-layered clues that deliver players to unexpected and unique destinations. Rather than to walk the city and do this together (as is typically the game), the attendees will meet and be paired virtually and sent to break out rooms to solve their clues and prove their destinations through use of Google and other phone-based tools.
