USBC EDNY Pro Bono Initiative: Part 2 - Training Session | 1.0 CLE Available - Skills hosted in collaboration with Nassau Suffolk Law Services and the Consumer Bankruptcy Project
This is Part 2 of the complimentary virtual recruitment program for attorneys interested in participating in the new USBC EDNY Pro Bono panel primarily focused on serving Long Island. Attorneys selected to be on the panel will have the opportunity to provide assistance on a pro bono basis in various bankruptcy matters before the USBC EDNY (Brooklyn and Central Islip, with a focus on Central Islip), including chapter 13 cases, adversary proceedings, and loss mitigation.
This Part 2 Training Session for CLE credit includes approximately 1 hour of training in Skills, including: the timeline of a potential pro bono assignment, including sample engagement letters and conflict check assistance; cultural competency tools and resources; and a Chapter 13 bankruptcy overview with additional resources for future use by attorneys.
