Hannam & Partners, a corporate finance advisory business based in London, has become a member of Global Special Situations, an alliance of investment banking firms with focus on special situations transactions. Other partners include SSG Capital Advisors LLC in the U.S., Saxenhammer & Co. in Germany, Teak Capital Corporation in Asia, Brazil-based TCP Latam, and India-based L&T Infrastructure Finance Company Ltd. The alliance was established in 2014 to enhance members’ cross-border deal execution capabilities. Services provided include M&A, corporate finance, capital raising, valuation, financial restructuring, and bankruptcy/insolvency advisory.

Veritas Financial Partners has opened its first Midwest-based office in Chicago, and Evan Nadler has joined the firm as a vice president to lead the company’s business development efforts and strengthen its existing presence in the region. He focuses on sourcing new direct lending opportunities and meeting the financial needs of middle market companies by providing customized solutions to the marketplace. Nadler brings more than 15 years of experience to his new position, having held financial services roles in credit, business development, and management. Before joining Veritas, Nadler was head of sales at Bibby Financial Services. He holds a bachelor’s degree in international relations from the University of Wisconsin – Madison.

Justin O’Malley has joined Blackhill Partners in Dallas, an investment bank specializing in complex situations, as a vice president. He is experienced in restructuring, investment banking, and financial advisory across a broad spectrum of industries, including energy, manufacturing, building products, transportation and distribution, retail, and specialty finance. O’Malley was most recently with Alvarez & Marsal’s North American Commercial Restructuring Group. He holds an MBA from the McCombs School of Business at the University of Texas at Austin and a bachelor’s degree in finance and accounting from the University of Oklahoma, and FINRA 63 and 79 licenses.

Jeff Tischler has joined Conway MacKenzie Inc. as a managing director. He has held a number of senior-level positions in banking over 15 years, including workout, credit and originations/portfolio management. Tischler’s experience has spanned a variety of industries, and he has worked with both performing and underperforming companies. Most recently, he was a senior vice president with Fifth Third Bank, where he led the bank’s Eastern Michigan Wholesale Division.
