Inside the Big Tent

The “Big Tent” means a lot of things to a lot of people and continues to define itself in new and exciting ways every day. Our Big Tent is about inclusiveness, meaning everyone has a seat at the table and a voice to be heard, which we encourage and support.

Our Big Tent has so many incredible elements, I wanted to share what members have imparted about it to me. It is part of an exciting journey, full of opportunity and collaboration that spans the globe. And it is a celebration of more diversity than any other organization can boast.

The Big Tent starts here in Chicago, where Global has sent a message that we are here to support, enhance, and aid our chapters in any way we can. We’ve created connectivity and dialogue and continue to find ways to ensure member value and enriching opportunities for all of our members.

The Big Tent is 52 chapters strong, and with the addition of Mexico and Croatia, we continue to expand our worldwide footprint. We are striving to create greater connectivity by and between our international chapters with our North American members and have made great progress on that front alone.

This Big Tent is welcoming of powerful and engaged women, whose voices have created a leadership pathway few organizations in this space can offer. Our TMA NOW group represents a segment of diversity that is defining, empowering, and ever-growing.

This Big Tent is ensuring that our NextGen population not only comes into the organization but is also offered volunteer opportunities from the earliest days of their engagement. Fostering leadership at the chapter and Global levels and ensuring this growing group has a voice has validated our commitment to supporting those younger professionals who journey into TMA Nation.

This Big Tent is about teaching the value of our organization to those who attend our events but have not yet become TMA members. We show those potential members that they are missing a critical element of their professional conversation by not being part of this organization, whether for networking, programming, certification, or the opportunity to be part of any of our events anywhere a TMA chapter exists.

Here at TMA, we are aiding some by empowering them to build a personal brand. We are aiding all by ensuring they have the opportunity to build a powerful professional network. We are encouraging and promoting diversity of all kinds. But most importantly, we are completing the conversation by bringing professionals of every segment of the corporate restructuring, corporate renewal, and corporate health space into a Big Tent that continues to find ways to give back and support all of our members.

For those who are already in our Big Tent, I thank you. For those who have been swept up by our momentum, I ask that you be our ambassadors and help us continue to grow our ever-expanding world of opportunity. And for those who do not yet know the power of TMA, invite them to see what resources, value, and opportunity this Big Tent holds.

As we expand the reach about the power of the people of TMA, we create connectivity and opportunity like never before. It is the power of the TMA Big Tent, all it has to offer and all that its engaged leaders do that make us the go-to organization in this space. This growth trajectory has only begun. In this Big Tent, what we have already achieved is just the beginning of the story.
