James H.M. Sprayregen is the founder of Kirkland & Ellis’ worldwide Restructuring Group and has led some of the most complex Chapter 11 filings in recent history. He served on Kirkland’s worldwide management committee from 2003 to 2006 and from 2009 to 2019. Sprayregen joined Goldman Sachs in 2006, where he was co-head of the firm’s Restructuring Group and advised clients in restructuring and distressed situations, and rejoined Kirkland three years later.
