The Turnaround Management Association (TMA) is the most professionally diverse organization in the corporate restructuring and renewal, and corporate health space. Established in 1988, TMA has nearly 10,000 members in 52 chapters worldwide, including 32 North American chapters. Members include turnaround practitioners, attorneys, accountants, advisors, consultants, financial advisors, liquidators, lenders, investors, as well as academic, government employees, and members of the judiciary.
The Importance of Certification The CTP and CTA designations provide evidence of an individual's commitment to the turnaround and corporate renewal industry and also attest to a level of expertise that non-certified professionals may find difficult to prove. Completing the certification process provides a corporate renewal professional with a solid foundation to operate successfully in the industry and could very well enhance future earning power. "TMA was my introduction to the larger restructuring community when I joined 20 years ago. I showed up, got involved, and have been active ever since. Networking through TMA has provided me with the opportunity to develop deep relationships with a broad array of practitioners. These relationships have provided not only business opportunities, but colleagues who have become trusted advisors and good friends."
